CERRITOS, Calif. - American Isuzu Motors Inc. announces the first factory-built low cab forward Crew Cab truck. A crew of seven people can comfortably sit three across in the front seat and four abreast in the back seat. The vehicle also provides excellent visibility and maneuverability compared to conventional trucks in the same weight classes. Each truck is available in two wheelbase configurations, a 150-inch wheelbase accommodates 12-ft. bodies and a 176-inch wheelbase handles 16-foot bodies. The Crew Cab's diesel engine, coupled with a four-speed overdrive automatic transmission, delivers 175 hp. at 2700 RPM. Visibility is enhanced with an oversized panoramic-view front windshield, drop side windows and large-view collapsible side mirrors. Power front windows are optional on the Crew Cab. Front and rear power door locks are also available as options. Isuzu N-Series Crew Cabs are available in two sizes, NPR-HD and NQR. The NPR-HD Crew Cab is rated at 14,500 lbs. GVWR. The NQR is rated at 17,950 lbs. GVWR. Each Isuzu NPR-HD and NQR Crew Cab is designed as a unified structure front to back and top to bottom.
