America's #1 Selling Low Cab Forward Truck Every Year Since 1986

Question:
Someone who was not aware of my truck voltage tried to help me by jumping my truck. My Isuzu has two 12 volt batteries set up in parallel. That means positive with positive pole post, negative with negative pole post. The truck would not start, and I needed to be towed to a storage place 30 miles from where I was. The truck was left there, and I had to return home. I am 300 miles away from where the truck is right now.

I am trying to get help from professionals like yourself to figure out what got burned away from the erroneous jump start. I can infer that my starter got burned to the core. Also I was told some sensor might have been burned. I know I found a 10 amp fuse burned in a box adjacent behind the drive's door where some relays are found, I inferred that those are the relays to connect the impulse that synchronizes the flywheel with the starter. I don't know if I burned any glow plug, since this is a diesel truck and alternator. However, once this diesel truck started, the alternator seems to charge OK.

Answer:
There are two fusable links down at the starter that may have also been burned out. It is hard to say. I would suggest you have an Isuzu dealer take a look at the vehicle. As for the speed sensor, if you can give me a fax number, we will send you a wire diagram and let you know which wire you should connect to for your cruise control.
