Long Life Systems

The engine offers several long life systems. The ignition system is virtually maintenance free for the first 100,000 miles. The system includes platinum tipped spark plugs, low resistance spark plug wires, a composite distributor housing, and a high voltage switch which does not require timing adjustment. The cooling system includes a long life coolant that is rated for 5 years or 100,000 miles. An extended life accessory belt and Magna-quench starter are standard equipment. These "Maintenance free" systems are design goals for this engine, and are in place to provide greater customer satisfaction and increased durability of the product. | |
