What we needed:
We wanted to switch from a conventional cab to low cab forward for added space behind the cab and improved turning radius.
What we bought:
A highly customized Isuzu FVR, equipped with a 62-foot boom and a dump chip body. The body has an inside compartment that is used to store eight sheets of plywood, which are placed on customers' lawns so that the FVR doesn't leave tire tracks when it pulls up next to a tree.
Because of the 12,000-lb. hydraulic winch mounted on the front bumper, the truck was equipped with a 12,000-lb front axle.
Why we chose Isuzu Trucks:
"My Isuzu dealer was willing to work with us for a year to outfit this special truck. The FVR now meets our needs better than the 50-foot boom we were renting."
